This 300m2 project involved the renovation of one of Kuwait’s last remaining traditional buildings within the Benbehani complex in Sharq. Originally constructed in the 1920s and refurbished in the 1950s, this historic structure was transformed into a design office. It encapsulated traditional building practices, with thick walls and minimal windows reflecting the conservative society’s nature. The renovation aimed to preserve the original fabric while introducing modern features, using materials like stainless steel and frosted glass.
